17987294770_554d99c1e6_o-600x901SPRING is an accelerator for businesses seeking to innovate and make a significant positive impact on the lives of adolescent girls across East Africa and South Asia. Launched in 2015 in Kenya, Rwanda and Uganda, applications are now open for the second cohort based in Pakistan, Nepal and Bangladesh. Deadline is 31st May.

As Justine Greening, UK Secretary of State for Development said in October 2014, “Giving girls and women the chance to improve their own livelihoods is crucial to ending poverty for good… Businesses have a key role to play by using their skills and expertise to provide vital products and services, which are key to building prosperous societies.”

Ramona Liberoff, SPRING CEO, is a founding member, angel investor and advisor to Angel Academe so we’re very proud and excited to be partnering with them to provide due diligence on short-listed applicants for their second cohort. And, in a small way, helping them achieve their very ambitious goal of reaching 200,000 girls in 8 countries by 2019.
